This classic hen party activity is still a firm favourite. Pole dancing was made famous and main stream when Kate Moss was seen pole dancing in the White Stripes music video for the song ‘I just don’t know what to do with myself’, back in 2003. 

 

However, don’t be fooled by Kate’s routine - pole dancing is not as easy as it looks and can be quite strenuous. This is worth bearing in mind when booking as pole dancing is more suited to younger or gym-going hens, although anyone who would just rather watch can do so, without being charged. Pole dancing is lots of fun and you can really let your inhibitions go; imagine you and the girls are in your own music video whilst learning a mixture of spins, climbs and inverts! 

 

Our pole dancing classes are held in the city’s licenced strip clubs, so you get maximum atmosphere; it feels just like the real thing because it pretty much is the real thing. Hen groups have maximum privacy with exclusive use of the venue as well as a full bar service throughout should you need a little Dutch courage! One of the best things about the class being held in a stunning, operational, gentlemen’s club is that it makes a great backdrop for a mini photo shoot – our hens love it. It’s like two activities in one. 

 

The strip clubs do only have one main pole and stage area as they are operational strip clubs by night, not a pole dancing studio, so bear this in mind when booking. For larger groups we recommend booking a pole dancing studio located just outside the city centre where you would have the use of 6 poles.   

 

The 1.5 lesson begins with a gentle warm up. Your instructor will perform a demonstration routine and will teach your group a mixture of spins, climbs, inverts and floor moves. At the end of the session the instructor puts together a routine for the hen to perform to the rest of her group and everyone has a go at performing their own mini routines.

 

There is no nudity involved, just good old-fashioned girly fun. You will need bare arms and legs though to do many of the moves, so the girls need to be comfortable in shorts/t-shirt or a skirt/dress above the knee. We recommend sandals, pumps or small heels for footwear. 

 

For added effect bring along a money gun with some fake dollar bills. Or go all out and bring some sexy fancy dress and stripper heels to get some great pics and videos for the ‘gram’ whilst busting out your sexiest routines - unleash your inner pole dancer!
